Sincerely Yours

This time of year is usually when I send more hand written notes and actual cards or letters than any other. I love sending e-cards, e-mail….e-anything but there’s nothing like handcrafting some cards and handwriting the address on the envelope! We receive many typed out ’round robin’ letters that tell us all the exciting news of the year for those families but John and I prefer to leave space at the bottom of our cards to write a short, handwritten note. How do you prefer to communicate at this time of year?

  1. I would love to do everything handwritten, but time just doesn’t permit this. However, we do have relatives in Turkey and so I do task my eldest, Emily in handwriting them a letter every so often. I recently went through our old Christmas cards from the loft – thinking I would recyle them as gift tags rather than throw them away. It just so happened that we found some precious ones from my Grandma who passed away a couple of years ago. The kids called her their “little Grandma” because she was short (!) So she had signed the cards “Little Grandma.” Needless to say these cards have been pinned up on our notice board! x
