John and I love to go on holiday in our caravan since we retired. To do this we need a car that is capable of towing the caravan plus all our other stuff ( Yes, we do take the kitchen sink!) as well. ‘Norm’ our trusty, ancient, Ford Sierra tow car has taken us up and down dale, down the Hardknot Pass (scarey!!!!!) in the Lake District and through the mountains and glens of Scotland and many other places besides. But now he is beginning to feel his age so we set off today to try and find another car to replace him. Sounded an easy task, but after a trial drive in a new car and a visit to one of those huge car supermarkets – plus getting stuck in the rush hour traffic – we were absolutely shattered! There was I thinking that it would all fall into place. No! It was I that fell into bed exhausted! Well, Norm is getting his spring repaired and a new clutch
next week and we’ve decided to leave replacing him for another season!!
