It was lovely to remember the time we had at Glen Orchy last summer. There were only a few more houses in the glen and we had the Old House all to ourselves for a week. The property had been the hunting lodge for the landowners in the past and has been converted into a holiday cottage. There were roses round the door, a honeysuckle arch in the garden and swallows nesting in the front porch! It was lovely to come back in the evening and light a log fire in the massive, original fireplace. The River Orchy rushed down the glen and was a favourite haunt of anglers. We frightened deer as we drove down the glen and birds of prey were gliding overhead. It was a memorable way to celebrate our Silver Wedding Anniversary.
